LENSOLUX GRAND SERIES 8x42 ED+

Wide-angle binoculars with 8x magnification and 42 mm lens diameter.

 ED glass (extra-low dispersion glass) is a special, fluoride-rich glass melt from which so-called "apochromatically corrected lenses" are made. These are optics with three lenses made of different types of glass. ED glass effectively compensates for color errors, i.e. colored parts of a light beam are refracted to different degrees - visible as a color fringe along edges. This effect contributes to images with superior contrast and outstanding resolution. The result is exceptionally detailed, true-to-color and three-dimensional images. ED glass is more complex to manufacture and process and therefore more expensive than conventional glass without these properties. This is why lenses made from this type of glass are more expensive.

 We offer an additional special feature that further increases the quality of the lenses used: a "dielectric" coating on the BAK-4 prisms. This significantly increases the light transmission (light permeability) (approx. 93% for our LENSOLUX GRAND SERIES binoculars) and achieves even greater color fastness and edge sharpness. The ED + stands for this additional and complex coating. The large field of view of 130 m by 1,000 m distinguishes these binoculars as wide-angle binoculars.

 Modern, compact design supports the functionality and quality of our new binoculars: the so-called open bridge means that the binoculars can be comfortably held with one hand and operated at the same time. The balanced center of gravity means the binoculars sit comfortably in the hand, allowing fatigue-free observation over longer periods of time. Ergonomically shaped thumb recesses and robust rubber armoring with a non-slip structure further increase comfortable handling. Adjustable eyepiece cups in 3 different positions allow every user to find the right eye distance. The body made of a light but durable magnesium alloy reduces the weight to around 700g.

 The scope of delivery includes a practical carrying strap as well as eyepiece and lens caps that effectively protect against water, dust and dirt. A robust bag with carrying strap, cleaning cloth and a detailed description of how to adjust the optics for each user are also included.
